“If there were no beginnings and if there were no endings, we would have the absence of inertia and the presence of stagnation.” -Craig D. Lounsbrough-

Life is composed of a series of cycles. It doesn’t matter what are those cycles composed of, it doesn’t matter what it is you have to learn in that cycle, what matters is to recognize you are in cycle, confront whatever it is, and move on. Once you do, the cycle is closed and once it is closed, you can move on with your life having learned the lesson and most importantly, looking at it from another angle, from another perspective. Hopefully, one in which you have grown as an individual.

In life, there is no point in hiding, feeling ashamed or avoiding the pain. If you do, you’ll notice it will be worse than letting go, confronting whatever situation you are in, and opening your arms to a new cycle. I truly mean these words. Never would I have imagined, I have the courage to struggle, be happy with the process, and feel good about it at the end.

For many months I’ve struggled with myself, with the way I feel about others but most importantly with they way I feel about myself, the whole me, and everything that encompasses who I am. I think it has to do with the way one grows in these cycles life brings. I noticed that although struggling is good (even though you might think it is not), the end result is way better. Maybe it does not make sense, maybe you’ll think is an excuse I am making but when you do face your struggles is when you are finally able to feel at ease.

The people very close to me know my way of struggling entails questioning everything in my life once in awhile. It is painful. As a matter of fact, it is very painful, because I am my worse critic. It hurts because it entails facing your fears, looking at your flaws and analyzing your life in ways you did not think possible. Maybe I am growing old, maybe I have started to see life in a different way. Regardless, in one way or another, as much as you reject overanalyzing yourself due to fear, its worthwhile. At the end of the tunnel, there is always clarity. The clarity you never expected to find, the one that prompts you to move forward, to understand, let go, and continue going feeling better with yourself and stronger.

I am not sure if I am making sense. I hope you do understand the pain you might suffer today might take you to better things tomorrow. That growth comes with whatever situation you are facing. That in life is not enough to be blessed, experience good things, great feelings, and enjoyment. It is also necessary to feel pain, criticism, rejection, fear, and anxiety. Without these, there is no growth. So if you are down, anxious, going through hard times, be patience with yourself. You’ll end up understanding whatever it is that is happening to you, you’ll grow and you’ll appreciate it at the end. There is nothing that happens to you in life that you cannot handle. Remain hopeful, the light is there, just a few steps ahead of you. A new cycle is coming, one in which you will not face the same pain again because you’ll know how to handle it.
